The first round performers at the award-giving event have been announced and they include hip-hop royalties like Drake and Nicki Minaj to pop diva like Celine Dion.

AceShowbiz - The 2017 Billboard Music Awards is going to be the biggest, star-studded event with lots of show-stopping performances. Billboard has taken to Instagram to announce the first round of performers and fans couldn't wait for the D-Day to come. Chart-topping artists like Drake, Nicki Minaj, Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars and Celine Dion are slated to take the stage at the award-giving event.

Fan also can expect to see performances from Camila Cabello, Lorde, Florida Georgia Line, John Legend and Imagine Dragons. With more performers to be announced in the coming weeks, it's definitely going to be an amazing show. The caption alongside the announcement probably sums it up best, "Let's just say it's going to be a big year at the #BBMAs." And we couldn't agree more.

Following the announcement, fans are expecting Drake and Nicki Minaj to perform their collaborative track "No Frauds", and Camila Cabello to debut solo single off her upcoming album. Apart from the performers, the BBMAs full list of nominees have been unveiled. Drake and The Chainsmokers lead the list with 22 nominations. Among those, Drake will compete for Top Male Artist and Top Billboard 200 Artist, while The Chainsmokers will compete for Top Artist, Top Duo/Group and Top 100 Artist. Trailing behind is Twenty One Pilots with 17 nominations, Rihanna with 14, The Weeknd with 13 and Beyonce Knowles with 8.

2017 Billboard Music Awards will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, and will air live on Sunday, May 21 at 8 P.M. on ABC.
