The husband of Chrissy Teigen delivered an emotional set on the talk show program as he performed the single off his latest album.

AceShowbiz - John Legend touched many hearts last Tuesday, April 25 when he performed "Surefire" on "The Late Show With Stephen Colbert". The soulful crooner sat behind a piano and gave the audience in the studio a very emotional performance as he showcased his clear and delicate vocal. Under warm yellow light and backed by a small orchestral string section, Legend successfully delivered a heartwarming set.

While stroking the piano keys, he crooned, "Cause I may not know a lot of things but I feel it in my chest/ Know I won't let the blue flame die/ We can't lose hope just yet/ 'Cause it's once, just once in a lifetime/ And we're scared to love but it's alright/ I may not know a lot of things but I know that we're surefire/ Know that we're surefire."

"Surefire" is a track off Legend's latest album "Darkness and Light" which was released last year and debuted at No. 14 on Billboard 200 chart. Legend is currently gearing up for his upcoming North American "Darkness and Light" tour which will kick off in Miami on May 12. The extensive tour is set to wrap up at New Orleans' ESSENCE Festival on June 30.

In addition, Legend was recently honored as one of Time's 100 Most Influential People for his musical and social-political contribution. "It's so good to be here with all of you wonderful people. Such a wonderful group of change makers in here tonight, and I'm so proud to be a part of you," he said on Time 100 Gala.
