The 50-year-old singer is sued by Mississipi sheriff deputy who claims that he seduces his wife, causing their marriage to fall apart.

AceShowbiz - R. Kelly is sued by a Mississippi sheriff deputy named Kenny Bryant who believes that his wife, Asia Childress, filed for divorce because of Kelly. Bryant accuses Kelly of having a 5-year affair with his wife that happens throughout their marriage.

In the court papers obtained by WAPT News, Bryant claims that Childress began her affair with Kelly prior to their wedding in July 2012. Childress told him that it had ended before their wedding, but Bryant believes they rekindled their romance when Childress attended one of Kelly's concerts in October 2012.

Childless convinced Bryant to move to Atlanta shortly after, saying that she would have more career opportunities there. Bryant quit his job in order to comply with his wife's wish, leading him to "financial ruin" because he was unable to find "profitable employment."

"Each time R. Kelly would have a concert in a nearby state, Childress would disappear to unite with her lover," the lawsuit says. "Time after time, R. Kelly cuckolded Bryant, with blatant disregard for Bryant's and Childress' vows."

Bryant states that his efforts to reconcile with his wife didn't work because he "could not prevail against R. Kelly's continued sexual overtures to Childress." He also adds that his wife filed for divorce in order to continue her relationship with the "I Believe I Can Fly" hitmaker.

Last year, Kelly was criticized for reportedly dating an underage girl. People began to speculate that they were dating after they were seen together at a club. In 2002, a video surfaced online allegedly featuring him having sex with another underage girl.

Kelly hasn't released any statement regarding this lawsuit.
