The Shane Black-directed sequel to 1987's 'Predator' has been moved by 20th Century Fox from February to a summer slot.

AceShowbiz - While announcing release dates for its superhero movies, 20th Century Fox makes an adjustment for "The Predator" release date. The much-anticipated sequel to the classic 80s movie was originally set for February 9, 2018 but now it is moved to summer slot on August 3, 2018.

The alien movie is directed by Shane Black who had a role in the original film. The "Iron Man 3" helmer also writes the script with Fred Dekker ("The Monster Squad"). Boyd Holbrook, Olivia Munn, Sterling K. Brown and Jacob Tremblay are among the cast members.

Black plans to make an R-rated movie because "PG-13 is for p***ies." The original actor Arnold Schwarzenegger won't return for the upcoming film. It will reportedly introduce a new hero, an ex-marine (Holbrook), as he squares off against evil creatures.
