Alec Baldwin Shares the 'Hook' to His Donald Trump Impression on 'Late Show'

When it comes to 's impersonation, no one can beat "" star . During his appearance as a guest on " on Tuesday, April 18, the actor shared tips for his epic Donald Trump impression.

Host asked, "What's your hook in it? What is the thing you have to do? Is it your face, the hair, the hands or is it the voice?" to which Alec responded that it was "totally a caricature." He further explained that he only needed to "just pick a few things" to mimic the POTUS. "Like I'm sitting in the room and I'm going, 'Left eyebrow up, right eyebrow down, shove your face like you’re trying to suck the chrome off the fender of a car.' "



Stephen admitted that he was so thankful to see Alec's Donald Trump impression, saying, "When I saw your Donald Trump [impersonation] for the first time, I think like a lot of people, when I saw your Trump I went, 'Oh, thank God! Somebody has cracked that nut.' Do you like doing it?" Alec opened up that doing Donald Trump impression was an "amazing" experience to him.

Alec, however, admitted that he found the Trump thing was kind of "eerie" for him. "More than anything I've ever done, people come up to me and say something to me on the streets," the actor shared, while mouthing the passerby who thanked him "for the Trump thing" when he and his daughter Carmen strolled around New York.

The 3-and-a-half-year-old Carmen, however, found that people's reactions embarrassing. Alec shared that every time people thanked him on the streets, she would be like, "I don't like you! Just go away!"

During the episode, Stephen and Alec also showed their acting skills in a "Too Much Exposition Theatre" sketch.
