Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy does say there's more to Han Solo's name than meets the eye, but 'it's not that it's not his name.'

AceShowbiz - Apparently Han Solo won't get a new name in untitled stand-alone Star Wars film II. Despite Disney CEO Bob Iger apparently suggesting that Han Solo wasn't the smuggler's real name, Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy stated that she didn't think it was what Iger really meant.

"I'm not sure that that's entirely what Bob meant," said Kennedy to MTV during Star Wars Celebration Orlando. However, Kennedy did suggest that there would be more to Han Solo's name than met the eye. "There's more to Han Solo's name, but it's not that it's not his name. It's obviously his name. It will always be his name," Kennedy said.

Ever since Iger made the revelation, fans have made a lot of theories about Han Solo's possible "real name". Among the theory is the speculation that Han Solo's real name is possibly Ren, a name used by Han's son Kylo Ren after he turns to the dark side.

Like blockbuster "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story", Han Solo movie will focus on the event before "Star Wars: A New Hope". Disney CEO Bob Iger has revealed that Han Solo film will see Han's life when he is 18 to 24. The movie will also explain how Han obtains his Millenium Falcon and how he meets Chewbacca.

Alden Ehrenreich will play younger Han Solo, who was magnificently portrayed by Harrison Ford in the original "Star Wars" movies and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens". Donald Glover and Joonas Suotamo will play Han Solo's buddies Lando Calrissian and Chewbacca respectively. Woody Harrelson will portray Han's mentor.

Other cast members include Emilia Clarke, Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Ian Kenny and Michael K. Williams. Han Solo movie is scheduled to be released in the U.S. on May 25, 2018.
