The 'Born to Die' hitmaker was inspired to write a dreamy song following her mixed-up feelings during Coachella regarding America's political tensions.

AceShowbiz - Lana Del Rey was having "complex feelings" when she attended Coachella last weekend. Although she was spotted having fun at the music festival, recording Father John Misty's performance, chilling with Katy Perry and dancing to Kendrick Lamar's acts, she was concerned with political tensions between America and North Korea.
That's why on the way home from Coachella, she visited her old favorite place, a forest in California, to calm down and deal with her "complex feelings." In the middle of the forest, she apparently got an inspiration to write a song. She then took to Instagram on Monday, April 17 to share a video of her singing the song among sequoia trees. "I'd trade it all for a stairway to heaven/ I'd take my time as I climb up to the top of it/ I'd trade the fame and the fortune and the f**king legend/ I'd give it all away if you give me just one day to answer one question," Lana sings dreamily.
Alongside the video, she writes, "I'm not gonna lie- I had a complex feelings about spending the weekend dancing whilst watching tensions w North Korea mount. I find It's a tightrope between being vigilantly observant of everything going on in the world and also having enough space and time to appreciate God's good earth the way it was intended to be appreciated."
She adds, "On my way home I found myself compelled to visit an old favorite place of mine at the rim of the world highway where I took a moment to sit down by the sequoia grove and write a little song. I just wanted to share this in hopes that one individual's hope and prayer for peace might contribute to the possibility of it in the long run. Hope everyone has a nice day, with love from California."
Lana is currently gearing up to release her upcoming album "Lust for Life". The release date has yet to be announced, but the 31-year-old songstress has shared the trailer and revealed the cover art of the upcoming album. She previously said of the album, "As the climate kept on getting more heated politically, I found, like, lyrically everything was just directed towards that, so because of that, the sound just got really updated, and I felt like it was more wanting to, like, talk to the younger side of the audience I have. I guess it's just a little more socially aware."
