Some details about Stallone's character from Marvel Studio's production notes seemingly have been leaked and later posted by a Twitter user.

AceShowbiz - Sylvester Stallone has been announced to make an appearance in "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2", but his role in the movie is still kept tightly under wraps. However, some details about his character seemingly have been leaked online. It is reported that the details are from Marvel Studios' production notes and later tweeted by a Twitter user.

According to the notes, Stallone will play a character named Stakar, who apparently won't get along very well with Yondu (Michael Rooker). "A lifelong respected Ravager, Stakar isn't fond of Yondu," read the production notes.

The description later reads, "Sylvester Stallone offers the character's backstory: 'Stakar had banished Yondu many years earlier for doing something wrong and he finally sees him almost twenty years later at this particular establishment called the Iron Lotus where all of the Ravagers go to blow off steam. And then we have a confrontation which is pretty intense and it's kind of a father/son type of thing and now he's going to have to pay the piper. His karma has come back ten-fold.' "

In the comics, Stakar is better known as Starhawk, an antihero who helps form the Guardians of the Galaxy in 31st century. A son of heroes Quasar and Kismet, Starhawk is a major player in the intergalactic series. He is fated to re-inhabit his infant body and relive his life countless times, enabling him to manipulate history to get better outcomes. While the rumors about Stallone's possible character in the movie have spread online, there hasn't been any confirmation from Marvel about the matter.

Set to the backdrop of "Awesome Mixtape #2", Marvel's "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" continues the team's adventures as they traverse the outer reaches of the cosmos. The Guardians must fight to keep their newfound family together as they unravel the mysteries of Peter Quill's true parentage. Old foes become new allies and fan-favorite characters from the classic comics will come to our heroes' aid as the Marvel cinematic universe continues to expand.

Also starring Chris Pratt (Peter Quill), Kurt Russell (Ego), Zoe Saldana (Gamora), Bradley Cooper (Rocket Raccoon), Dave Bautista (Drax), Vin Diesel (Baby Groot), Karen Gillan (Nebula), Sean Gunn (Kraglin) and Pom Klementieff (Mantis), the movie is set to be released in the U.S. on May 5.
