New photos from episode 10 of The CW's series have been released, giving a first look at the 'Breakfast Club' star as Archie's mom, Mary.

AceShowbiz - Archie is set to be reunited with his mother on "Riverdale". Photos from the upcoming tenth episode of the show's freshman season have been released, giving a first look at Molly Ringwald as Archie's (KJ Apa) mom, who has separated from his father Fred (Luke Perry).
The scene was previously teased in a highlight reel that played for audience at the show's WonderCon panel in Anaheim over the weekend. Archie looks shocked upon finding out about his mother's return.
Mary left Riverdale two years ago to follow her dreams, but blows back into town in her family's hour of need. She not only reconnects with Archie and her husband, Fred, but also her former high school friends Hermione and Alice. Her reappearance coincides with the Homecoming Dance.
In "Chapter Ten: The Lost Weekend" that will air Thursday, April 13, when Fred decides to finalize the divorce with Archie's mother Mary, Archie hides his true feelings. Archie tries to win Valerie (guest star Hayley Law) back with a romantic evening, however, Betty (Lili Reinhart) hijacks his plans when she decides to throw Jughead (Cole Sprouse) a surprise birthday party.
Once Cheryl (Madelaine Petsch) learns of the party, she decides to make it interesting and things quickly get out of control. Meanwhile, Veronica (Camila Mendes) contemplates whether she should participate in the deposition to help get her Dad released.
