NBC moves back the show premiere date to May 30 to give more time for a better promotion as well as orders a new game show for kids which will be hosted by Neil Patrick Harris.

AceShowbiz - NBC is making several alterations to its previously announced summer schedule. Among the shifted show is "World of Dance", which premiere date is pushed back to May 30 at 10 P.M. from its original May 8 slot.

"World of Dance" reportedly earns a lot of internal fans at the network after recent screenings. The delay seemingly will do a favor for the show as it will give more time for the production team to prepare a much better promotion.

The shift makes "World of Dance" piggyback with the return of "America's Got Talent" which is set to premiere on May 30 at 8 P.M. It also allows the show, which is hosted and exec-produced by Jennifer Lopez, to remain on Tuesdays slot, after it was scheduled to switch to Tuesdays after three weeks.

The network has also changed the premiere dates for several other shows. "Hollywood Game Night" has moved up to June 22 from its previous premiere date of August 7. The show will occupy the 8 P.M. slot time which forces "The Wall" to be shifted to 9 P.M. and "The Night Shift" to 10 P.M. "Midnight, Texas" has also shifted to July 24 instead of original July 25 premiere date, though the air time remains the same.

In another related report, NBC has ordered a new game show titled "Genius Junior". "How I Met Your Mother" vet Neil Patrick Harris is nabbed to host and executive produce the show. "Genius Junior" will see twelve teams of three children each completing challenges that test their knowledge on a variety of subjects. The winning team is awarded the Genius Junior Grant.

"I'm thrilled to be part of a project that shines a light on extraordinary children and challenges viewers to exercise their own minds," Harris said in a statement. "NBC is a great home for 'Genius Junior'. Plus, the contestants are kids, so they're destined to be hilarious or, you know, snap. Win/win. I kid. #pun," he added.

Along with Harris, Pam Healey, John Hesling, Phil Parsons and Ed Egan serve as executive producers. Meanwhile, Shed Media is producing the show.
