The latest set photos and video from Waikiki Beach, Hawaii set reveal an intriguing look at the Queen of Attilan, who is seen donning a shaved head instead of Medusa's iconic red long hair.

AceShowbiz - New set photos and video of ABC's upcoming "Marvel's Inhumans" have landed online. Taken from filming set on Waikiki Beach, Hawaii, the new photos and video offer a better look at one of the Royal Family, Queen Medusa (Serinda Swan), following the previous set photos of the character. Uploaded by a fan on Friday, March 31, the set photos reveal an intriguing new look at the Queen of Attilan.

Serinda's Medusa is seen sporting a shaved head instead of Medusa's traditional red long hair in the comics. Although there's no much left, Medusa's remaining hair is clearly red. The new revelation comes as a surprise since Medusa's powers come from her ability to control her hair. Some fans assume that ABC may use CGI for her hair.

Others speculate that the scene may be part of the narrative where, perhaps, Medusa is being punished, so her access to her powers is removed. Another fan theory is that it could be the result of a vision or nightmare sequence for the Inhuman royal family.

In the photos, Medusa seemingly wears a civilian attire. She is seen wearing a purple top with leggings in a darker shade. The video later sees Serinda leaving the filming set while having a meal. She fully covers herself with a long gray coat and a brown fedora hat.

"Inhumans" follows "a race of superhumans with diverse and singularly unique powers, [which] were first introduced in Marvel Comics by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in 1965. Since that time, they have grown in prominence and become some of the most popular and iconic characters in the Marvel Universe. 'Marvel's The Inhumans' will explore the never-before-told epic adventure of Black Bolt and the royal family."

The eight-episode series stars Anson Mount as Black Bolt, Iwan Rheon as Maximus, Isabelle Cornish as Crystal, Sonya Balmores as Auran and Ellen Woglom in an undisclosed role. Also starring on the series are Ken Leung, Eme Ikwuakor and Mike Moh as Karnak, Gorgon and Triton respectively.

Scott Buck, Jeph Loeb and Jim Chory are set to executive produce the series with Marvel Television and ABC Studios co-producing. Buck also serves as showrunner.

Directed by Roel Reine, the first two episodes will screen in IMAX theaters on September 1 while the full eight episodes will air on ABC this fall.
