AceShowbiz - John Legend is full of surprise. He successfully turned the commuters at St. Pancras, London into concert goers as he performed three songs with a piano which was given by Elton John and has been a fixture in the station. The husband of Chrissy Teigen got people at the station ecstatic as he sang "Ordinary People", "All of Me" and new single "Surefire" while skillfully playing the piano.
Legend was in the station on Wednesday, March 29 as he arrived on Eurostar train from Paris. The musician had just returned from France, where he had performed at Disneyland Paris as a part of the theme park's 25th anniversary celebrations on March 25.
Wearing camel-colored coat and shades, Legend was in London to celebrate Piano Day. He also promoted his album and upcoming tour in between his performances. "How are you doing, London? We've got a new tour, it's called 'Darkness and Light' tour, my new album is called 'Darkness and Light'," he said to the crowd. After the 15-minute performance, Legend stepped away to a waiting car and left the station.
Earlier on the same day, Legend took to Twitter to tease fans with his unexpected appearance. He tweeted, "Arriving at London @StPancrasInt on @EurostarUK. Do they still have that piano there?"
The singer has become a world traveler lately. Before Paris, he had traveled to Morocco with his wife and child. It was rumored that his travel bag was stolen at John F. Kennedy International airport as he arrived in New York from Morocco, but he then denied the claims.Arriving at London @StPancrasInt on @EurostarUK. Do they still have that piano there?
