Joining series' veterans Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters, the 'Billy on the Street' host is on board to play a heavily recurring character on the anthology series.

AceShowbiz - Ryan Murphy's "American Horror Story" season 7 is shaping up as a new face has been added to the anthology series. Billy Eichner is on board to play a heavily recurring character on "AHS" upcoming seventh season, joining returning cast members Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters.

Detail of Billy's character is currently unknown, but sources tell Deadline that he will portray "a close confidant of Paulson's character and mostly will be wearing mysterious tank tops." The site further reveals that Billy will be featured in six or seven out of the 11 episodes in the seventh installment.

Although FX is yet to comment on the report, Billy has taken to Twitter to share his respond. He posts a surprised eyes emoticon while he retweets a tweet about his casting report.

Ryan is known with his out-of-the-box casting choice for his shows. Thus, it comes as no surprise for fans to learn that Ryan casts Billy, who is best known for comic roles, in an anthology horror drama. Billy's TV credits include TruTV's "Billy on the Street", Hulu's "Difficult People" and NBC's "Parks and Recreation".

Not much is known about "AHS" season seven, though in a previous report Ryan teased that it was going to be about 2016 Presidential Election. Ryan also shared other tidbits regarding the next installment, saying that the election would be used as an allegory as well as affirming that Sarah was not playing Hillary Clinton.

"American Horror Story", which has been renewed at FX through season 9, reportedly will begin filming season 7 this May.
