The boyfriend of Gigi Hadid is worried that his former bandmate will 'overshadow' him in the future with his much-anticipated debut album, which is 'edgy and different.'

AceShowbiz - Zayn Malik is definitely not a fan of Harry Styles. While fans are impatiently waiting for Harry's new solo single, the former One Direction member is worried that his former bandmate could "overshadow" him in the future with his much-anticipated debut album.

"Zayn has been flying high on his success as a solo artist, but he's stressing out big time now that Harry's coming out with a new album," a source tells HollywoodLife.com. Zayn has been working hard on his solo career since leaving the British boyband back in 2015. He released his breakthrough solo album, "Mind of Mine", in 2016 and has gained much success ever since. But now, he's worried that Harry is going to steal his "thunder" with new LP.

"Out of all the 1D guys, Harry is the one Zayn has always felt the most competitive with, and with good reason," the source continues, before adding that the boyfriend of Gigi Hadid has been hearing from music insiders that Harry's solo effort will dominate the charts because it's "edgy and different."

Harry follows in the footsteps of his bandmates Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson to release solo material for the Directioners. The 23-year-old British heartthrob has teased his project in a dark and sexy U.K. television ad and announced April 7 as the release date of the much-anticipated song. Though he's really excited with the song, the "Dunkirk" actor is "terrified" that no one will buy it.

"If his first single flops, then his solo career is over," a source said before. "Will he be the next Justin Timberlake or will he be like the others buys (sic) that were once in a band with Justin that NO ONE can remember. This is hit big moment and he is SCARED."
