Titled 'Trapped', the extended trailer for the next installment of the anthology series delves deeper into the story that chronicles Ewan McGregor's dual characters.

AceShowbiz - An extended trailer for "Fargo" season 3 has made its way online. The trailer offers a glimpse of the plot and characters featured in the upcoming installment of the anthology black comedy-crime series. "Beauty and the Beast (2017)" actor Ewan McGregor stars in dual roles, Emmit and younger brother Ray Stussy.

Titled "Trapped", the 2-minute long video opens with police officer Gloria Burgle (Carrie Coon) finding herself in a nerve-wracking situation. She tries to calm her son down and asks him to lock the car's door. She is later ready to enter the house with a long rifle in hands, facing whatever threats may be inside the house.

More of the Stussy brothers' background is also offered in the extended trailer as the video later is transitioned to a scene featuring Emmit. Emmit, who finds himself mixed up with the wrong guys, says, "It's not the Minnesota I grew up in, I tell ya that." Meanwhile, in a shot where McGregor's two characters are going head to head in Emmit's office, Ray says to his brother, "You still owe me for what happened when we were kids."

The rivalry between the brothers seem to be going stronger as Nikki Swango (Mary Elizabeth Winstead), Ray's girlfriend, encourages Ray to get a revenge. "You're twice the man your brother is-let's go kick ass," she says. The couple is later seen walking down a street in a slow-motion scene, ready to execute their revenge plot.

Set in 2010, the third installment of "Fargo" centers on Emmit and his slightly younger brother Ray Stussy. Emmit, the Parking Lot King of Minnesota, sees himself as an American success story, whereas Ray is more of a cautionary tale. Forever living in his more successful brother's shadow, Ray is a balding and pot-bellied parole officer with a huge chip on his shoulder about the hand he's been dealt-and he blames his brother. Their sibling rivalry follows a twisted path that begins with petty theft but soon leads to murder, mobsters and cut-throat competitive bridge.

Coon's Gloria is a steady chief of the local police department and newly-divorced mother who tries to understand the new world around her, where people connect more intimately with their phones than with the people around them. Meanwhile, Nikki is described as a crafty and alluring recent parolee with a passion for competitive bridge.

Also starring on the series is David Thewlis. He portrays V.M. Vargas, a mysterious loner and true capitalist whose bosses plan to partner with Emmit, whether "The Parking Lot King" likes it or not.

Creator/showrunner/writer/director Noah Hawley will serve as executive producer alongside Joel and Ethan Coen, Warren Littlefield and John Cameron. MGM Television and FX Productions produce the series, with MGM Television serving as the lead studio.

"Fargo" season 3 will bow on Wednesday, April 19 at 10 P.M. on FX.
