Wishes Turn Into Nightmares in 'Wish Upon' New Trailer

AceShowbiz - Broad Green Pictures has released a new trailer of horror thriller "Wish Upon" for the audience's viewing pleasure. The movie, starring "The Conjuring" actress Joey King, centers on a girl who receives a mysterious music box. While the music box grants seven of her wishes, it brings so much troubles when it starts causing the deaths of the people closest to her.

The first part of the trailer sees the origin of the magic box, which was seemingly owned by several people from many nationalities in the past. "There've been others who've had the box," says a character. "They all died in freak accidents. And now it comes to you," he says, addressing King's character Claire.

The next scene features Claire being bullied by her friends, which eventually prompts Claire to use the music box as a revenge. She wishes one of the bullies would pay what she had done to her. As a result, the bully wakes up the next day with a horrible scar on her face.

The music box continues granting every of Claire's wishes. However, things turn very bad when the music box begins controlling Claire and taking the lives of the people closest to her. Claire has to find the way to free herself from the box before it destroys her.

Also starring in "Wish Upon" are Ryan Phillippe, Ki Hong Lee, Shannon Purser, Kevin Hanchard and Sherilyn Fenn. Directed by "Annabelle" helmer John R. Leonetti, "Wish Upon" will be released in the U.S. on July 14.
