Drizzy's latest effort serves as the rapper's seventh consecutive album to debut at No. 1, with 505,000 units sold in its first week including 257,000 streaming equivalent album units.

AceShowbiz - Drake nabs his seventh No. 1 album on Billboard 200 chart with his much-acclaimed album "More Life". The new set, which was released on March 18, sold 505,000 equivalent album units in the week ending March 23, according to Nielsen Music. The album's sales figure is the biggest opening week for any album since the rapper's "Views", which sold 1.04 million units in its first week.

As "More Life" doesn't have any physical copies available yet, the album's starting sum comes from digital sales and streaming. The set is primarily boosted by streaming equivalent album units (SEA) with 257,000 units in its first week. That figure breaks his previous record of 163,000 SEA with "Views".

While 257,000 units of the album's opening sale come from SEA, the remaining amount is comprised of 23,000 track equivalent album units (TEA) and 226,000 in digital album sales. The latter sum is the second-largest sales week of 2017 behind Ed Sheeran's "Divide (division sign)".

"More Life" has broken multiple records since its release. The "playlist" project was streamed nearly 90 million times in its first 24 hours via Apple Music and over 300 million times in its first week. The set also serves as Drizzy's seventh consecutive album to debut at No. 1 on the chart. That achievement ties him with Kanye West and Eminem for the second-most No. 1 albums among hip-hop acts, trailing behind Jay-Z with 13 No. 1 albums.

At No. 2 on this week's chart is Sheeran's "Divide" with 119,000 units. The set falls to the runner-up slot after leading the list for two consecutive weeks. Rick Ross, meanwhile, notches his ninth top 10 album as his new effort, "Rather You Than Me", starts at No. 3 with 106,000 units. The set marks Ross' biggest-selling album since "Mastermind", which debuted at No. 1 in 2014.

The "Beauty and the Beast (2017)" soundtrack slips one rung to No. 4, despite a 74-percent sales gain thanks to its box office dominance. The set, which features appearances from Ariana Grande, Celine Dion and Josh Groban, sold 99,000 units in its second week. That figure is the largest sales week for a soundtrack since the "Suicide Squad" album, which bowed with 128,000 units sold on the August 27, 2016-dated chart.

Depeche Mode's "Spirit" becomes the third debut in the new Billboard 200's top 10 as it bows at No. 5 with 64,000 units. The new set serves as the band's eighth top 10 album on the chart, following their 2013 effort "Delta Machine". Bruno Mars' "24K Magic" and the "Moana" soundtrack, meanwhile, descend to No. 6 and No. 7 with 51,000 units and 50,000 units respectively.

Rounding out the new top 10 are Future's self-titled album, "Future", which dips to No. 8 with 40,000 units, The Weeknd's "Starboy", which falls to No. 9 with 39,000 units, and Migos' "Culture", which slides to No. 10 with 37,000 units.
