Celine Dion's 'I Drove All Night' does Johnny Gates a favor to keep him stay on the show while plenty of 'The Voice' hopefuls have to pack their things up and go home before the knockouts.

AceShowbiz - "The Voice" season 12 continued its Battle Round where the coaches, Alicia Keys, Adam Levine, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton, had to send half of their singers home. With the help of mentors John Legend, DJ Khaled, Celine Dion and Luke Bryan, the coaches tried their best to take the artists to the next level.

Johnny Gates and Sammie Zonana from Team Gwen were the first to perform in the second night of Battle Round. Gwen challenged both to perform a cover of Celine Dion's "I Drove All Night" which they had to work on in front of the singer herself. Impressed by their rock arrangement of her ballad song, Celine dubbed it "original." However, the song put Johnny's vocal front and center and did zero favor to wedding songstress Sammie. Gwen picked Johnny while no one stole Sammie.

Taking the stage next were Team Alicia singers, Chris Blue and R.J. Collins, who sang "Adorn" by Miguel. Alicia tried to combine the classic and current styles of each of them by giving them the song. Although R.J. also had an impressive falsetto reach, Chris seemed to catch the coaches' hearts with his natural and unspoken energy. Alicia decided to keep Chris on her team. Unfortunately, nobody stole R.J.

Aliyah Moulden and Dawson Coyle from Team Blake were next up, performing "Walking on Sunshine" by Katrina & the Waves. Although their performance was hardly the best performance on that evening, Aliyah flaunted an incredible power on her voice despite her young age. Some found Dawson better than Aliyah, though. So when Blake chose Aliyah over Dawson, Alicia happily stole Dawson to join her team.

In the montage, Adam sent home Nala Prince after Josh West won the battle on their duet of "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" by Tears for Fears. Aaliyah Rose and Savannah Leighton from Team Gwen were also featured, performing Shawn Mendes' "Treat You Better". Aaliyah got herself a ticket to Knockout Round after defeating Savannah. Meanwhile, we had to bid farewell to Micah Tryba from Team Adam since Adam chose Andrea Thomas on their duet of "What Hurts the Most" by Rascal Flatts.
