The 48-year-old singer says of her surgery, 'This is scary,' before adding, 'I'm going to face this and I'm going to get over it.'

AceShowbiz - Carnie Wilson is about to have another surgery. During an appearance on CBS' "The Talk" on Tuesday, March 14, the Wilson Phillips member opened up about her surgery plan and revealed the reason why she had to do that was because she needed to remove her ruptured breast implants.

"I'm scared to say what I'm about to say," said Carnie during the show. "I have to have a surgery." The 48-year-old singer went on explaining that she originally got to put her implants in after losing 150 lbs as a result of gastric bypass surgery in 1999.

"Sixteen years ago I lost a bunch of weight, and I had a breast lift and an augmentation and the implants have ruptured now," she explained. "And so, I have to go have them taken out and face this reconstruction, which is really scary. I wasn't sure if I was going to share it, but I am sharing it...it's important."

The singer continued, "Today I wouldn't have put them in. I'm different now. I have different priorities." She shared, "This is scary, and I'm going to face this and I'm going to get over it. My mom said to me, 'Carnie, this is going to be a little hurdle, a little bump, and it'll all be in the past soon.' "

After making the big reveal, Carnie took to Twitter to thank the show and fans for their support. She wrote, "Thank you to @TheTalkCBS for letting me speak my truths. No one better to do it with than you wonderful ladies. I love you."
