Snoop Dogg was a supporter of Hillary Clinton in 2016 presidential election. Through this music video, he criticizes police brutality and U.S president Donald Trump. "I feel like it's a lot of people making cool records, having fun, partying, but nobody's dealing with the real issue with this f**king clown as president, and the s**t that we dealing with out here, so I wanted to take time out to push pause on a party record and make one of these records for the time being," Snoop Dogg told Billboard.

"Trying to keep from dying in these motherf**kin streets/ F**k the police, from a black man's point of view," Snoop Dogg raps, pointing on police brutality.

YouTube star Jesse Wellens co-directed the video with James DeFina. Wellens told Billboard that he was inspired by Philando Castile, who was shot by police, in July last year.
