The longtime friendship between the former co-stars of the 'Ocean's Eleven' trilogy was reportedly beyond repair during Brad's marriage to Angelina Jolie.

AceShowbiz - It was previously reported that George Clooney's longtime friendship with Brad Pitt was cut off thanks to Angelina Jolie's jealousy of Amal Clooney. And now a new report has emerged saying that the friendship between the former co-stars of the "Ocean's Eleven" trilogy was actually beyond repair during Brad's marriage to Angie.
Life & Style magazine claimed the "Money Monster" actor was "really hurt" that the "Allied" star let Angie trash-talk his wife Amal. "It took some time [for George] to forgive and accept Brad because he was really hurt," an insider told the publication. "But he understands what Brad was up against being married to Angie. She is tough."
The 41-year-old "Maleficent" actress was allegedly envious of the 39-year-old human rights lawyer, who is currently expecting twins with her Oscar-winning husband. And Angie didn't keep her feelings to herself, according to the mag.
"Angelina would even knock Amal's looks and fashion sense," the source claimed. "Amal seemed to ignore it, but George didn't want to sit by and watch his wife get cut down." The 55-year-old actor was especially stung "that Brad wouldn't stand up to Angie."
The source further alleged that "Angelina was very controlling of Brad" during their marriage. The source added, "George was really upset Brad couldn't tell his wife to be kind and accepting of Amal."
Brad and George are currently trying to fix their broken friendship. George is even said getting parenting advice for raising kids from Brad, who shares six kids with Angie. "It took time, their relationship is finally mending," revealed the source.
