The 'Room' actress doesn't even try to explain why she didn't look enthusiastic when she presented the 'Manchester by the Sea' star with the Best Actor award.

AceShowbiz - Brie Larson has finally spoken up about her reaction to Casey Affleck's controversial Oscar win. The winner of Best Actress at last year's Academy Awards was on hand to present the actor with Best Actor trophy for his role in "Manchester by the Sea" in the February 26 ceremony.

People noticed that Brie didn't clap for Casey after handing him the golden statue. Asked whether her reaction was intentional, the actress told Vanity Fair at the premiere of her new movie "Kong: Skull Island", "I think that whatever it was that I did onstage kind of spoke for itself. I've said all that I need to say about that topic."

Months before the Academy Awards, several articles brought up claims of sexual harassment from two women who worked with Casey on the film "I'm Still Here" in 2010. Both lawsuits were eventually settled out of court and the 41-year-old actor continued to deny the allegations against him.

"I believe that any kind of mistreatment of anyone for any reason is unacceptable and abhorrent, and everyone deserves to be treated with respect in the workplace and anywhere else," he told the Boston Globe days after his Oscar win. "There's really nothing I can do about it. Other than live my life the way I know I live it and to speak to what my own values are and how I try to live by them all the time."

Brie played a victim of sexual abuse in "Room", which helped her win an Oscar a year earlier. "Having played two characters who were sexually abused, I've done a lot of work with victims of sexual abuse," she recently said. "We can't take any steps backward in allowing people to think abuse is their fault. It's the people-pleaser disease."
