While the deal has not been finalized yet, the 27-year-old actor is set to sign the contract in coming days after negotiations with Marlon Wayans fell apart due to salary disagreements.

AceShowbiz - "America's Got Talent" producers apparently have found Nick Cannon's replacement as the next host of NBC's talent-search competition. According to TMZ, Brandon Mychal Smith is "all but signed" to become the host. While the deal has not been finalized yet, the "Dirty Grandpa" actor is set to sign the contract in coming days.

Multiple sources tell the publication that Marlon Wayans is actually the first choice to replace Cannon as the host since he has a major name and a history with the show as a guest judge. After negotiating for several days, the show's producers cannot afford Wayans' price as he allegedly wants more money than NBC is willing to pay.

Smith, on the other hand, will reportedly charge a much smaller fee for the show. Additionally, a source says that the 27-year-old actor will be able to seamlessly step into the show, as Wayans' brand has been strongly developed outside the show.

Cannon left the popular show last month after clashing with NBC executives over jokes he made during his stand-up comedy show. He quit the show after learning that NBC was reportedly considering to fire him if he breached his contract by disparaging the network.

"After days of deliberating over some extremely disappointing news that I was being threatened with termination by Executives because of a comedy special that was only intended to bring communities closer together, I was to be punished for a joke," he started off a lengthy letter on his Facebook account.

The 36-year-old actor/comedian went on saying, "There is no amount of money worth my dignity or my integrity," before adding that he didn't want to return for this summer's upcoming season of the show.
