In an interview with ELLE, the legendary boyband's Carter and A.J. McLean dish on their strange behaviors in the past, including when McLean walked naked down the hallway in a hotel for no reason.

AceShowbiz - Many people believe Justin Bieber is the most troublemaker singer. Late last year, he had been named the worst celebrity neighbor in 2016 by a survey conducted by online real estate marketplace Zillows. However in a recent interview with ELLE, Backstreet Boys's Nick Carter claimed that Bieber couldn't hold a candle to what they did in the past.

"I'll tell you this," Carter began. "There is some s**t that AJ and I both did that I'm really glad that social media wasn't around for. Because Justin Bieber couldn't hold a candle to what we did." A.J. McLean agreed and went on dishing his strange behavior in the past. "We would have been like TMZ's saving grace, bro...just anything from me being drunk or irate at a club. Or me walking naked down the hallway in a hotel for no apparent reason," he said.

McLean continued saying that the new wave of recording artists is much easier nowadays. "Without social media, without YouTube, without instant access, we had to do everything grassroots," the 39-year-old singer said. "We had to do every interview, every radio show, every outlet. We had to go to every country - that was the only way to do it. There was no Instagram, or posting things on YouTube to get a record deal."

Backstreet Boys recently returned to the music scene as they kicked off their 17-date "Larger Than Life" Las Vegas residency show at The Axis at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, which would run until July 1. In addition to the show, the "As Long As You Love Me" hitmaker joins country music duo Florida Georgia Line on their "The Smooth" tour. They will play at Boston's Fenway Park on July 7, Minneapolis' Target Field on July 29 and Chicago's Wrigley Field on August 12.

Backstreet Boys and Georgia Line will also perform at the 2017 ACM Awards to sing their collaborative track "God, Your Mama and Me". They're among the first round of performers announced for the upcoming award-giving show, which include Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert and Luke Bryan among other notable country music artists.
