Aiming a spot in the coaches' teams, six contestants perform on that emotional night where 23-year-old Malik Davage breaks down in tears after he learns that he passes the blind auditions.

AceShowbiz - Coaches Alicia Keys, Gwen Stefani, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine continued finding the best singer in the country on "The Voice". NBC aired the fifth night of the blind auditions of the show on Tuesday, March 7. It appeared to be an emotional night as one contestant cried over the fact that he finally joined the show.

Johnny Gates, a 31-year-old contestant from Providence, opened the show with his performance of "Maggie May" by Rod Stewart. His pop-rock performance impressed Alicia who turned her chair, followed by Gwen and Blake. Gwen got Johnny in her team as Johnny said, "Us garage band kids have to stick together."

Malik Davage, 23, made that night full of tears. Performing "Sure Thing" by Miguel, the Washington D.C. native got Adam to turn his chair for him. Malik joined Team Adam by default since other coaches didn't hit their buttons. Knowing that he passed the blind auditions, Malik couldn't help crying which later affected everyone in the studio including Gwen. Both Gwen and Adam gave him a congratulatory hug.

Laury Judd, 16, from Draper City sang Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun". She sang the 80's classic in a mellow arrangement which highlighted her incredible upper register. Surprisingly, she slipped into a fuller voice which later convinced Alicia to hit her button. Although Gwen and Blake turned their chairs for her, Laury joined Team Alicia eventually.

Paul Adrian, 20, was up next. Paul paid tribute to his service member father, who died in the Iraq war, by performing his favorite soul music. However, "I Got a Woman" by Ray Charles didn't get any of the coaches to turn their chairs for Paul. Gwen noted that his notes got a little wobbly in the middle of the song.

Another young contestant came to the show. Caroline Sky, 16, took the stage to perform "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" by Carole King. Despite her age, she showcased a well-done performance which almost broke Gwen in tears. Gwen and Blake turned their chairs for her and began their lovers' quarrel. Caroline chose Gwen to be her coach.

40-year-old Josh Hoyer performed "Oh Girl" by The Chi-Lites that night. His performance sent Blake and Gwen in another battle to win a contestant as both hit their buttons. After struggling to catch a member throughout the episode, Blake finally got one. Josh went to Team Blake.
