Alec Baldwin Will Soon Quit Donald Trump Impersonation on 'SNL'

The 'Boss Baby' actor will not play Trump on 'Saturdy Night Live' much longer because he doesn't know 'how much more people can take it.'

AceShowbiz - After doing Donald Trump impersonation on "Saturday Night Live" for months, Alec Baldwin is ready to move on. The actor tells Mario Lopez on an interview with "Extra" that his days of playing POTUS are numbered and he isn't sure how much longer he will do it.

"Trump just overwhelmingly lacks any sportsmanship, he remains, bitter, and angry, and you just want to look at him and go, 'You won!' " Baldwin says. "The maliciousness of this White House has people worried ... that's why I'm not going to do it much longer, the impersonation, I don't know how much more people can take it."

Asked if he will be part of White House Correspondents' Dinner, the actor says, "I don't think it's going to happen, I don't think they want that, for their [prestige] and their integrity, I think a lot of people are thinking if Trump himself doesn't come and face the music as it were ... I don't know what kind of program they're going to have." He adds, "If they wanted me to do it, I would probably do it, but I'm not quite sure they'll do. I think they may have a whole other idea."

Baldwin has been playing Trump since the election last year, and the Republican politician was not impressed with what he saw so far. "Just tried watching Saturday Night Live - unwatchable! Totally biased, not funny and the Baldwin impersonation just can't get any worse. Sad," he tweeted back in December, to which Baldwin replied, "Release your tax returns and I'll stop. Ha."

Baldwin is not the only Hollywood star doing Trump impersonation. Jimmy Fallon recently appeared as the business mogul-turned-politician on his "Tonight Show" to roast the President over his solo press conference.

Although Baldwin might soon quit playing Trump, "SNL" will likely continue bashing the President's administration. Melissa McCarthy has played the White House press secretary Sean Spicer on two episodes to rave reviews.
