The 'Hidden Figures' actress also reprises her Oscar-winning role during her first hosting gig on the NBC sketch show.

AceShowbiz - Octavia Spencer mocked the Academy Awards during her monologue on "Saturday Night Live". She took a jab at the confusion between her movie "Hidden Figures" and another nominated film "Fences" that starred Denzel Washington and Viola Davis.

"I get it, I get it," she said. "There were three black movies at the Oscars this year. That's a lot for Americans. So if you were gonna get confused anyway, I thought I'd make some money off it anyway. That's why I produced 'Hidden Fence Light' " which could tell "the story of three black women who send an introspective gay guy to build a fence on the moon."

Marking her first time as an "SNL" host, Spencer also cracked a joke at her loss at this year's Oscars. "I've played a nurse so many times, when I played a maid they gave me an Oscar," she quipped, referring to her role in 2011's "The Help".

The actress later reprised her Oscar-winning role Minny Jackson in a "Forrest Gump" spoof that featured Kate McKinnon as Jeff Sessions sitting on a bench and spilling his guts to various people. "My name's Minny," Spencer said in character. "You don't know me, I'm from a different movie."

The March 4 episode also saw a faux trailer targeting Donald Trump. It teased about one Republican who decided enough was enough.
