The 35-year-old 'American Idol' alum will perform the mid-tempo song for the first time on the U.K.'s 'The Voice' this weekend.

AceShowbiz - Despite having busy schedules as one of the coaches of "The Voice UK", Jennifer Hudson still has plenty of time to work on her upcoming fourth album. The Grammy-winning singer gives fans a taste of her album by releasing its lead single titled "Remember Me".

Co-written by Jamie Hartman, the mid-tempo rousing ballad showcases Jennifer's powerful pipes. "There you are/ Yeah you found me/ Strong enough to break my sleep/ Say you're hurt/ Say you're lonely/ Say I forgot to give you what you need," she sings over piano-driven beats.

Elsewhere on the song, Jennifer is joined by a gospel choir on the chorus. They sing, "I know you'll remember me/ Swear to me the memories that I see/ Promise me/ That it doesn't make your heart beat/ Doesn't make your heart beat," over finger-snapping beats.

In a press release, Jennifer said she was excited about the song. "As an artist, when I discover music that I connect with deeply, it brings me a sense of excitement that I can't put into words,” she said. "That's how I feel about 'Remember Me'. Everything about it is special - from co-writing it with Jamie, to the recording process, to how it made me feel along the way. I just can't wait to share it with the world."

Jennifer has been closely working with L.A. Reid and executive producer Clive Davis on her fourth album, which will be her first record for Epic Record after signing a major record deal last year. The 35-year-old "American Idol" alum will perform "Remember Me" for the first time on "The Voice UK" on Sunday, March 5.
