AceShowbiz - Disney's "Ralph Breaks the Internet" is currently in the stage of development and has just added Ana Ortiz as its new cast member. The "Ugly Betty" actress will join John C. Reilly, Sarah Silverman, Jack McBrayer, Jane Lynch and Alan Tudyk in the sequel of animated fantasy comedy "Wreck-It Ralph". However, Ortiz' role in the movie is still kept under wraps.

Ortiz is known for her role as America Ferrera's on-screen sister Hilda Suarez on "Ugly Betty". She also voiced Rafa on Disney Channel's "Elena of Avalor" back in 2016. Other television series she appeared on include "NYPD Blue", "Everybody Loves Raymond", "ER", "The New Adventures of Old Christine", "How to Get Away With Murder" and "Black-ish".

"Ralph Breaks the Internet" takes six years after the events in the first movie. It focuses on the adventure of former video game villain Ralph (voiced by Reilly) in the internet data space when a WiFi router gets plugged into the arcade.

The first "Wreck-It Ralph", meanwhile, focuses on Ralph's effort in becoming a hero. He tries his best to fulfill his dream, but his quest brings trouble into the arcade where he lives. The movie earned a spectacular cume back in 2012, gaining $471.2 million worldwide.

"Ralph Breaks the Internet" is set to be released in U.S. theaters on March 9, 2018. The movie is directed by Phil Johnston and Rich Moore. Johnston will also write the script along with Pamela Ribon. "The Late Late Show with James Corden" host James Corden will reportedly join the movie.
