Movie

The first full trailer offers a look at the attacks unleashed by Xenomorphs in the dangerous planet visited by Covenant crew.

AceShowbiz - 20th Century Fox has released the first full trailer for "Alien: Covenant". Like the teaser, the trailer is packed with horrors, only this time it contains many terrifying scenes of Xenomorphs attacking the titular spacecraft's crew.

The trailer opens with a rather calm scene from the recently released prologue. Katherine Waterston's Daniels gives her speech in front of the crew while Covenant is making its way to the planet faraway. When the crew land on the planet, they find plants which resemble weeds. But aside from that, the planet is deceitfully empty. "You hear that?" asks Daniels to her crew. "Nothing. No birds, no animals, nothing."

Terrible things happen when the crew enter a cave and find Xenomorph eggs. The eggs burst open and hatch, revealing horrifying creatures which soon unleash their terrors aboard Covenant spacecraft. "The path to paradise begins in hell," reads the movie's tagline.

A new poster of the movie has also been released, featuring a Xenomorph egg and a line which reads, "Hide."

"Alien: Covenant" is helmed by Ridley Scott and follows the story of colony ship Covenant which travels to a planet faraway. The crew think they will discover an uncharted paradise in that planet, but they find dark and dangerous world instead.

The science fiction horror film is scheduled to hit U.S. theaters on May 19. Also starring in "Alien: Covenant" are James Franco, Michael Fassbender, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demian Bichir and Carmen Ejogo. Noomi Rapace will reprise her role as Dr. Elizabeth Shaw from "Prometheus".
