The 35-year-old diva, who is expecting twins, promises that she will headline the annual festival in 2018 after her pregnancy.

AceShowbiz - Beyonce Knowles has officially pulled out of headlining Coachella 2017 due to concerns surrounding her pregnancy. The singer, who is expecting twins with husband Jay-Z, issued a joint statement with Parkwood Entertainment and festival promoter Goldenvoice on Thursday, February 23, telling that she would instead headline the event in 2018.

In a statement to the Associated Press, Bey said that she had to cancel the gig "following the advice of her doctors to keep a less rigorous schedule in the coming months." The statement read, "Beyonce has made the decision to forgo performing at the 2017 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival. However, Goldenvoice and Parkwood are pleased to confirm that she will be a headliner at the 2018 festival. Thank you for your understanding."

According to Billboard, the news caused an immediate cut in the price of Coachella tickets on the secondary market. Prices for weekend 1 dropped 12 percent from an average price of $978 to $872 after Bey decided to cancel her performance at this year's festival. Meanwhile, tickets for weekend 2 dropped nearly 3 percent from an average $856 to $834.

Goldenvoice has not yet announced who will replace Beyonce as Coachella's third headliner, who was originally set to join Radiohead and Kendrick Lamar. Bey was originally set to perform on April 15 and 22. It would have marked her first performance at the festival, where she would be the first female musician to top the bill since Bjork in 2007.

People started arguing who would become Bey's replacement. Some replacement candidates included other contemporary R&B/pop divas such as Rihanna, Katy Perry, Missy Elliott and Nicki Minaj.
