'He could be a car salesman. He could be a music teacher,' says Lisa's attorney of Michael after the musician's demand for $40,000 a month in spousal support has been denied by an L.A. judge.

AceShowbiz - Lisa Marie Presley was all smiles while walking out of a Los Angeles court on Wednesday, February 22 as she would not have to pay Michael Lockwood in spousal support. According to Daily Mail, Judge Patrick Cathcart denied her estranged husband's demand for $40,000 a month in spousal support.

Lisa was only ordered to cover the legal fees of the 55-year-old musician. While Michael demanded Lisa to pay $100,000 in attorney fees, Lisa's attorney, Mark Gross, did grant the musician's attorney, Jeff Sturman, $10,000 a month in attorney fees, before accusing Michael of "not looking for work."

"He could be a car salesman. He could be a music teacher. But he doesn't seem to think he has an obligation to earn money," stated Lisa's attorney at the hearing, adding, "And he hires a lawyer who has a $50,000 retainer."

Jeff countered, claiming that Lisa's income is more than $5 million a year while his client has "no means to pay his living expenses whatsoever. He has no income." But Jeff's request for his broke client couldn't move the judge who insisted, "First we need to resolve the validity of the post-nuptial agreement."

The said post-nuptial agreement that the couple signed a decade ago stated neither party should have a claim on the other if the marriage broke up. However, Michael's demanding that the prenup should be torn up, saying that at the time, he was forced into signing it.

Michael recently also claimed it's hard for him to find a job due to Lisa's recent allegations, including him possessing "hundreds of inappropriate photos of children and is facing allegations of sexual abuse and neglect."

"The music industry changed during that time and I lost most or all of my professional connections," he once said. "Further, I believe (Lisa's) allegations in her declaration will ruin my reputation and it will be difficult or impossible for me to get a job."
