Jackie takes to Twitter to stand by her transgender sister and speak out against POTUS' announced plans to repeal the progressive legislation on public school bathrooms for transgender students.

AceShowbiz - As someone who has a transgender sister, Jackie Evancho speaks out against Donald Trump's plan to revoke previous president Barack Obama's protections for transgender students. The 16-year-old singer takes to Twitter to express her hope of meeting the POTUS as Donald had given her an honor to sing at his inauguration in January.
The "America's Got Talent" alum wrote on Wednesday, February 22, "I am obviously disappointed in the @POTUS decision to send the #transgender bathroom issue to the states to decide. #sisterlove." She continued in a new tweet, "@realDonaldTrump u gave me the honor 2 sing at your inauguration. Pls give me & my sis honor 2 meet with u 2 talk #transgender rights (heart emoji)."

The classical singer's older sister, Juliet (18), came out as transgender in 2015. Juliet, who was born Jacob, told PEOPLE, "Ever since I was little, I always played with Barbies. I put on makeup and played dress-up with my sister, to the point where my mom started getting me princess dresses."
Many are against Trump and his administrations' policy to lift protections for transgender students which had allowed them to use bathrooms and locker rooms corresponding with their chosen gender. Although advocates say federal law will still prohibit discrimination against students based on gender or sexual orientation, many believe that lifting the Obama directive will put children in a harm way.
American Federation of Teachers president Randi Weingarten said, "Reversing this guidance tells trans kids that it's OK with the Trump administration and the Department of Education for them to be abused and harassed at school for being trans."
Several Hollywood stars also agreed with Evancho, taking to Twitter to express their opinions which are against POTUS' decision. Brie Larson, Lance Bass, Ellen DeGeneres, Wilson Cruz, Jay Duplass and Ellen Page are among protesters.
Brie wrote, "This is disgusting. This is unacceptable. I #StandWithGavin and every Trans person who deserve nothing less than protection and equality." Meanwhile, Lance opened his post with a quite strong and straightforward jab at Donald, dubbing him "an a**hole." He continued, "Trump administration withdraws federal protections on transgender bathrooms in schools."

TV host Ellen wrote, "Just seeing the news about removing laws protecting trans people. This isn't about politics. It's about human rights, and it's not okay." Wilson took to Twitter to ensure everyone that he's standing with transgender people.
