The 'Teenage Dream' hitmaker is overshadowed by her own backup dancer, who falls offstage near the end of her BRIT Award performance.

AceShowbiz - Katy Perry entertained the crowd at the 2017 BRIT Awards with a performance of "Chained to the Rythm", teaming up with Skip Marley, but it was her backup dancer who accidentally stole the spotlight. The backup dancer, who was dressed as a white house, fell offstage near the end of the performance.

The poor backup dancer was dancing encircling two huge skeletons onstage along with other white house-dressed dancers. But it seemed like the poor dancer had a little to no vision of his/her whereabouts and ended up falling off the stage.

The clip of the poor backup dancer quickly went viral and lighted up Twitter. "The new left shark #BRITs2017 #KatyPerryBRITS," a user tweeted. Another user wrote, "Katy Perry's backing dancer falling off stage oh I am weak, this is left shark all over again." The users referred to the "Firework" singer's backup dancer dressed in a shark costume who didn't seem to be prepared during Katy's performance at last year's Super Bowl.

During her BRIT Award performance, Katy got a bit political by taking a jab at U.K.'s prime minister Theresa May and U.S. president Donald Trump. She depicted the two politicians as two huge skeletons who were holding hands during her performance, referring to Theresa and Donald's close political relationship.

Katy recently opened up about her new song during an interview with Mirror. "This was after the election and I was kind of depressed and, you know, I definitely didn't want to write a club banger," Katy explained her condition prior to writing the song.

The girlfriend of Orlando Bloom continued, "I was like, 'how are we writing a club banger when the world is on fire?' It was a nice exercise of like writing a song that at first listen is a really fun song, but I guess the more you dive in to it, it has a different sub-text." Katy wrapped up the interview by naming her music as "purposeful pop."
