The 'Carol' actress even lets people put money inside her bra as she lip-syncs Dusty Springfield's song and approaches the audience.

AceShowbiz - Cate Blanchett may now add drag queen to her resume. Earlier this week, Cate became a headliner in the historic gay bar Stonewall Inn in New York City. The "Carol" actress donned layers of makeup and bold red lips as she lip-synced Dusty Springfield's "You Don't Own Me".

Cate was welcomed by a drag queen in a white furry gown. The Australian actress began her performance by standing on the center of the stage as she mimed the song. She later went down and approached the audience so they could stuff her bling bra with money. "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" actress looked stunning even though she only wore bling underwear under a black bath robe. She completed her look with huge earrings.

Cate also participated in another performance, during which she teamed up with two other drag queens and mimed Adele's hit song, "Hello". For that performance, she hid her blonde hair under a pink beanie hat and changed her bling bra into a black one. The "ladies" even got a bit political as they altered some lyrics of the song into, "Until you listen to us, we'll never leave you alone/ When I call Paul Ryan he never seems to be home," referring to the current speaker of the United States House of Representatives, Paul Ryan.

Although Cate might be an excellent drag queen, she didn't perform to make money for herself. The money she made from performing at the gay bar would be donated to the Newtown Action Alliance. It is an organization started by residents of Newton, Connecticut after the 2012 massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School to provide resources and comfort to those affected by gun violence.
