In a police report that surfaces online, the 39-year-old athlete's Super Bowl jersey is valued at $500,000.

AceShowbiz - It seems like being a Super Bowl champion has raised the value of Tom Brady's missing jersey. In a police report that surfaced online, the New England Patriots quarterback's jersey is listed at $500,000.

On Tuesday, February 21, NFL reporter James Palmer posted a picture of Tom's police report on Twitter. Along with the picture, James wrote, "From the Houston Police Department: Tom Brady's missing Super Bowl jersey valued at $500,000."

Besides the value of the missing jersey, the picture James posted unveiled some details about the incident. "On 2/05/17, the City of Houston hosted Super Bowl LI in the NRG Stadium. Shortly after winning the game, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady noticed his game jersey missing from his locker in the Patriots' designated locker room," the police report's description of the incident read.

$500,000 might be a huge amount of money only for a piece of jersey, but according to founder and CEO of Steiner Sports, a New York-based memorabilia company, Brandon Steiner, that amount is actually reasonable. "It's always about the story that goes around that jersey," Brandon told Fox Business.

"What he accomplished in that game was amazing. It will be remembered up in New England forever and a day. And now, because it was missing, if they ever find it, it probably will be worth that much because of all the stuff that surrounds that jersey now, between the story and the greatness of the player and the greatness of that game," Brandon said, before adding, "It wouldn't surprise me that somebody would want to pay $500,000 to have that."
