Ronda Rousey Is Set to Guest Star as Prison Inmate on 'Blindspot'

The MMA fighter will portray a tough and athletic female person inmate who is serving her time for transporting weapons across the state lines.

AceShowbiz - "Blindspot" has tapped Ronda Rousey to guest star in the twentieth episode of its second season. The MMA fighter will portray Devon Penberthy, a tough and athletic woman who knows how to fight and handle a weapon.

The character is also described as a female prison inmate who grew up in a working-class family from the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Penberthy is serving her time for transporting weapons across state lines.

"Blindspot" is not Rousey's first foray into acting. The martial artist previously guest starred on Comedy Central's "Drunk History". Rousey also had a brief appearance in 2015's movies "Entourage" and "Furious 7", as well as 2014's movie "The Expendables 3", starring Sylvester Stallone.

"Blindspot" stars Sullivan Stapleton as Kurt Weller, Jaimie Alexander as Jane Doe, Rob Brown as Edgar Reade, Audrey Esparza as Natasha Zapata and Ashley Johnson as Special Agent Patterson. Ukweli Roach, Marianne Jean-Baptiste, Archie Panjabi, Luke Mitchell and Michelle Hurd are also part of the cast members of the crime series.

"Blindspot" airs Wednesdays at 8 P.M. ET on NBC.
