The 'Labor Pains' actress, who has been studying the Quran, says she was recently stopped at Heathrow Airport in London because she was wearing a headscarf.

AceShowbiz - Even a famous celebrity like Lindsay Lohan experienced racial profiling for wearing a headscarf. The 30-year-old actress/singer revealed she recently received the not-so-nice treatment when she was traveling from Turkey to the United States.

"When I was flying to New York recently, I was wearing [a] headscarf and I got stopped at the airport and racially profiled for the first time in my life," said the "Herbie: Fully Loaded" star during an appearance on "Good Morning Britain" on Tuesday, February 21. She added, "She opened my passport and saw 'Lindsay Lohan' and started immediately apologizing, but then said, 'Please, but take off your headscarf.' "

Lohan said she complied with the request to remove her headscarf, but found it "jarring." She shared, "And I did. I mean, it's okay. But what scared me was, is that moment, how would another woman who doesn't feel comfortable taking off her headscarf feel? That was really interesting to me. I mean, I was kind of in shock... It was strange... I'm from New York, born and raised. I was a little intimidated."

The former child star said she was wearing a headscarf out of "respect" because she was returning from Turkey, where she met President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. "That's just a personal respect issue for me," she said.

Lohan also opened out about her interest in Islam. "Me studying the Quran is something I found a solace in," she said. However, when asked if she considered converting to Islam, she answered, "Nothing is confirmed yet."
