AceShowbiz - Chris Colfer is making a comeback. The "Glee" alum is teaming up with Sonar Entertainment to develop a sci-fi drama titled "Indigo". The potential series will explore the mysterious world of indigo children, those who are misdiagnosed but wildly believed to possess extraordinary paranormal abilities, while the dark forces are working to exploit their powers, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.

Colfer will probably star on the potential series. The actor will also pen the script and he is expected to direct the project. Meanwhile, Keith Quinn and Rob Weisbach will executive produce the potential series alongside the actor.

Should the project be picked up to series, "Indigo" will mark Colfer's return as series regular following his six-season run as Kurt Hummel on the Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk phenomenal drama. Colfer recently appeared in 2016's comedy film "Absolutely Fabulous" and he also had a brief appearance on TV Land's "Hot in Cleveland" back in 2014.

Aside from his acting career, Colfer has been busy as an author. His New York Times best-selling series "The Land of Stories" has been translated into 20 languages. He is also an author of "Struck by Lightning", which was adapted into a 2013 feature film starring Colfer.
