Dr. Luke Reacts After Kesha Leaked His Emails to Show His Abusive Nature
Celebrity

The music producer's attorney says that the emails the 'Tik Tok' hitmaker leaked are 'out-of-context' and 'do not present the full picture' of the ongoing legal battle.

AceShowbiz - Kesha, formerly known as Ke$ha, released several email exchanges between her manager Monica Cornia and Dr. Luke on Wednesday, February 15 to prove Dr. Luke's abusive nature. Shortly after the release of the emails, Luke's attorney has denied the accusation by saying the emails were "out-of context."

"Kesha and her attorneys continue to mislead by refusing to disclose the larger record of evidence showing the bad faith of Kesha Sebert and her representatives which is greatly damaging to them," Christine Lepera, Luke's Lawyer, said in a statement, "Rather than agree to a thorough disclosure, Kesha and her representatives improperly publicized, without Court permission, three out-of-context emails which do not present the full picture regarding the events they concern."

Lepera continued by giving examples of what the emails missed, "For example, these emails do not show that the lyrics of 'Crazy Kids' were, in fact, rewritten at Kesha's request. Any claim by Kesha to the contrary is deceiving the public-just like her other meritless claims of wrongdoing by Dr. Luke. Dr. Luke looks forward to full vindication in Court."

According to Page Six, in one of his emails to Cornia, the famous music producer allegedly dissed Kesha for her weight. The email read, "We were having a discussion on how she can be more disciplined with her diet. there have been many times we have all witnessed her breaking her diet plan. this perticular [sic] time -it happened to be diet coke and turkey while on an all juice fast."

When Cornia replied to Luke's email and defended the "Cannibal" singer, saying that "she was not a machine," Luke wrote back that "A list songwriters and producers are reluctant to give Kesha their songs because of her weight." Previously, Luke allegedly labeled Kesha as "Fat f***ing refrigerator" and it caused Kesha to have bulimia nervosa.

The 2012 emails exchanges also revealed the fight between the "We R Who We R" singer with the music producer. Dr. Luke wanted the phrase, "You see us in the club sip sippin bub," but Kesha preferred, "You see us in the streets we da we da freaks," since she didn't go to clubs. It led Luke to scold Kesha, "I don't give a s**t what you want. If you were smart you would go in and sing it."

The ongoing legal battle between Kesha and Dr. Luke began when the "Die Young" singer filed lawsuit to terminate her contract with Dr. Luke's label in 2014 after accusing the music producer of raping, harassing and defaming her.
