The 25-year-old British singer took to Twitter to announce that he would be releasing his third single off upcoming album 'Divide (division sign)' this Friday.

AceShowbiz - Ed Sheeran dropped by "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on Tuesday, February 14 to deliver live performance of his chart-topping single "Shape of You". It marks his third televised performance of his No. 1 hit within four days after his appearances on "Saturday Night Live" and the 59th Annual Grammy Awards.
"Here to perform his number one hit 'Shape of You', please welcome Ed Sheeran," Ellen welcomed her musical guest to the stage. Donning a black sweater paired with jeans, Sheeran had the crowd dancing along to the song as he strummed his acoustic guitar. He could be seen enjoying his performance as he swayed and bounced while he sang.
Before taking the stage, Sheeran surprised adorable singer Kai Langer when the 8-year-old viral singer passionately sang Sheeran's song "Thinking Out Loud". The British singer, who was watching the performance from dressing room, couldn't help himself from going out to greet Langer. When he saw Sheeran, Langer was speechless for a while but he managed to keep his cool.
During his appearance on "Ellen", Sheeran explained why he gave up his cell phone. "I got rid of my phone as my New Year's resolution," he told the host. "I bought an iPad, and then I just work off of email, and it's so much less stress. I don't wake up in the morning and have to answer 50 messages of people asking for stuff. It's just like, I wake up and have a cup of tea."
Over a year ago, the "Castle on the Hills" hitmaker announced on Instagram that he was taking a tech detox. "Hello all. I'm taking a break from my phone, emails and all social media for a while," so he wrote to his followers. He recently ended his social media hiatus as he came back to Instagram about two months ago to start promoting his upcoming album "Divide (division sign)".
Earlier this week, Sheeran sent fans into a frenzy as he announced that he would be releasing a new song on Friday, February 17. "New song coming Friday, look out for it," so he tweeted. It will be his third song off "Divide" following "Shape of You" and "Castle on the Hills", which were released back in January.
