John Legend Announces 'Darkness and Light' North American Tour

The 'All of Me' hitmaker will kick off his extensive tour on May 12 at Miami's Bayfront Park Amphitheater and wrap it at New Orleans' ESSENCE Festival on June 30.

AceShowbiz - John Legend has a busy year ahead. After releasing the Ariana Grande-assisted theme song of Disney's upcoming fairytale retelling "Beauty and the Beast (2017)", Legend announced on Monday, February 6 that he would embark on "Darkness and Light" North American tour in support of his latest album of the same name.

The extensive tour will kick off on May 12 at Miami's Bayfront Park Amphitheater and wrap it at New Orleans' ESSENCE Festival on June 30. Joined by singer/songwriter Gallant, the trek will visit some big cities including Nashville, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Saint Louis and more. Pre-sales tickets will be available on February 7 while general admission tickets go on sale on Friday, February 10.

Legend's fifth album "Darkness and Light" was released in December and debuted at No. 14 on the Billboard 200 chart. The set boasts guest appearances from Chance the Rapper, Brittany Howard and Miguel.

Legend recently executive produced and made appearance as Keith in Golden Globe-winning film "La La Land". In addition, the "All of Me" hitmaker produced a film titled "Southside with You", which chronicles Barack and Michele Obama's first date.
