Two previous 'Mission: Impossible' movies were shot in Austria and Vienna.

AceShowbiz - With "Mission: Impossible 6" slated to debut in U.S. theaters next year, Tom Cruise and his team are looking for a setting for Ethan Hunt's next adventure. Rumor has it, they are currently eyeing Paris as the shooting location.

After several delays attributed to a pay dispute, filming for the upcoming installment of the "Mission: Impossible" movie series is set to start in spring. Sources tell THR that current talks see shooting coming to Paris in spring or early summer.

A representative for Paramount refuses to confirm anything at this point as talks are still ongoing.

The first "Mission: Impossible" movie's climax took place on the roof of a bullet train speeding towards France, but the actual city of Paris hasn't appeared in the franchise. Other installments were shot in London, Dubai, Sydney, Austria and Vienna.

The pre-production of "Mission: Impossible 6" was previously halted due to an alleged dispute between Tom and Paramount over his salary. At the time, Tom was allegedly looking to match or exceed his deal with Universal for "The Mummy" reboot.

Directed by Christopher McQuarrie who helmed "Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation", the sixth installment is scheduled to be released in the U.S. on July 27, 2018.
