AceShowbiz - After surprising fans with "Episode VIII" title yesterday, director Rian Johnson offers a look at "Star Wars: The Last Jedi" in a new image. Via his Instagram account, Johnson shares a photo which features a crew member in editing bay, robot R2-D2 and a screen with a glimpse of "The Last Jedi" opening crawl.

"Felt so good to drop this into the cut this morning," Johnson writes in the caption. While the photo doesn't say much about the movie's details, it may be a hint that there will be more substantial "The Last Jedi" posts to come.

As for the title, Johnson previously said that he'd written "Episode VIII" title several years ago, and Luke Skywalker depicter Mark Hamill admitted that he had known it since they were filming the movie.

Hamill portrayed Luke Skywalker in the original "Star Wars" trilogy and appeared briefly in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens". The movies seemingly set him as the last Jedi, but looking at "Episode: VIII" title, fans assume that there may be another Jedi to come. Either way, Hamill is expected to play a big part in "The Last Jedi". Carrie Fisher had finished filming her scenes as Princess/General Leia before she passed away last December.

Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy hinted that "The Last Jedi" trailer would be released closer to spring, while the movie is scheduled to hit U.S. theaters on December 15. Other "The Force Awakens" cast members such as Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Lupita Nyong'o, Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie and Andy Serkis are returning. Benicio Del Toro, Laura Dern and Kelly Marie Tran are among the new cast members.
