Sterling K. Brown May Join Shane Black's 'Predator'
Movie

The 'The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story' actor is in negotiations to join the sci-fi thriller movie to play a government agent.

AceShowbiz - Sterling K. Brown is in talks to join Shane Black's "Predator". Should the deal be sealed, the Emmy winner will team up with Boyd Holbrook, Trevante Rhodes, Keegan-Michael Key and Olivia Munn in the sci-fi thriller.

If Brown joins the cast, he will play a government agent who jails Holbrook's character but is forced to let him out to deal with extra-terrestrial creatures. Holbrook and Key will play ex-marines in the movie, and Munn will portray a scientist. Rhodes will play Holbrook's best friend. Plot details are still under wraps, but The Hollywood Reporter mentions that "Predator" will feature a lot of lethal creatures terrorizing humans.

Brown won a Primetime Emmy Award last year for his performance on "The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story". He was also recently nominated at the 2017 Golden Globe Awards. His hit series "This Is Us" has been renewed for season two and three, and he is also playing a new character for Marvel's "Black Panther".

While "Predator" is broadly considered as a reboot of "Predator" movie franchise which started in 1987, last December director Shane Black said that the project wouldn't be really a reboot. It is an "inventive sequel" instead. The story will be set in suburbia, a place which hasn't been invaded by "Predator" creatures.

"Predator", which is handled by Twentieth Century Fox, Davis Entertainment and TSG, will start filming in late February. The movie is scheduled to be released on February 9, 2018.
