AceShowbiz - New "Kong: Skull Island" banner hints that the film may have a bit of similarity with some of previous King Kong movies, in which beauty kills the beast. The banner features Brie Larson touching Kong's face, suggesting that her character Weaver has some courage to approach and tame it. With her touch, the beast seems rather calm despite its frightening stare.

In the original "King Kong" movie (1933) and the 2005 remake, the creature was attracted to actress Ann Darrow, who was portrayed by Fay Wray and Naomi Watts respectively. The beast even caused big chaos in New York City as it tried to track her down. While "Kong: Skull Island" might not revolve around falling-in-love Kong, Weaver seemingly will be Kong's soft spot.
"Kong: Skull Island" centers on a group of explorers and soldiers traveling to uncharted island in the Pacific. They are accidentally crossing into a domain of monsters, one of them is mythical Kong which serves as the king of the island. Other "Kong: Skull Island" cast members are including Tom Hiddleston as Captain James Conrad, Samuel L. Jackson as Packard and John Goodman as Bill Randa. Kong is portrayed by Terry Notary through motion capture.
"Kong: Skull Island" started filming in Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia in mid-January 2016. Production has now completed and the movie is scheduled to be released on March 10 in the U.S.
