The organizers have announced a lineup of performers for the event including the 'Yoga' songstress and the 'Lake by the Ocean' hitmaker.

AceShowbiz - Women's March has revealed some artists who will perform at the event on January 21. Among the performers, "Classic Man" singer Janelle Monae and singer-songwriter Maxwell are set to headline the event.

"I am honored to join this critical movement to bring justice and equality to all," Monae said in a statement released by Women's March. "Music has always been a powerful tool for galvanizing unity and I believe that singing and standing together, our voices will be stronger than any force that tries to repress us."

Other famous names who are also included in the performer list are Samantha Ronson, Emily Wells, DJ Rekha, MC Lyte, St. Beauty, Beverly Bond, Alia Sharief, DJ Rimarkable, Amber Coffman, the Indigo Girls, Mary Chapin Carpenter and Climbing PoeTree.

Last week, Women's March announced actress America Ferrera as "the Chair for the March's artist table" while many celebrities confirmed their participation in the march. The event has also got an anthem by Fiona Apple to be chanted throughout the march.

Women's March is an act to send a message to government saying that women stand together in solidarity and expect elected leaders to act to protect the rights of women, their families and their communities. This event emerges as a result of Donald Trump's win against Hillary Clinton in the presidential election. But the organizers say that the event is a "pro woman" event rather than "anti-Trump."
