'Simpsons' Unleashes Promo for Star-Studded Episode Featuring Taraji P. Henson, Snoop Dogg and More

The 'Empire' star will voice Praline, an ex-wife of a hip-hop mogul, in the first hourlong episode of the animated series which will air on January 15.

AceShowbiz - A new promo for the first hourlong episode of "The Simpsons" has been launched by FOX. The video features Taraji P. Henson who voices Praline, an ex-wife of a music mogul named Jay G. It shows some other characters who are voiced by RZA, Snoop Dogg and Common.

Titled "The Great Phatsby", the episode combines the worlds of "The Great Gatsby" with a dash of "Empire". It follows a story of a nuclear plant boss Mr. Burns, who tries to relive his glory days by throwing a lavish party. In the process, he meets a hip-hop mogul named Jay G who likes to splash his cash.

After being conned and reduced to bankruptcy, Mr. Burns seeks revenge on the music producer with the help of Homer Simpson, Bart Simpson, rapper Jazzy James (guest voice Keegan-Michael Key) and Praline.

The hip-hop special episode also features music from Jim Beanz, who is the main lyricist and songwriter behind "Empire". He's also the protege of Timbaland and has produced songs for Snoop Dogg, Justin Timberlake, Rihanna and Britney Spears.

The twelfth episode of "The Simpsons" season 28 airs Sunday, January 15 at 8 P.M. on FOX.
