Hugh Jackman Reveals 'Logan' Official Synopsis
Movie

According to the official synopsis, the last installment of the Wolverine movie series is set in the near future out on the Mexican border.

AceShowbiz - Hugh Jackman has just revealed "Logan" official synopsis through his Twitter account. One of the gloomy greyscale photos Jackman previously shared serves as the text's background.

"In the near future, a weary Logan cares for an ailing Professor X in a hide out on the Mexican border. But Logan's attempts to hide from the world and his legacy are up-ended when a young mutant arrives, being pursued by dark forces," the synopsis reads.

While the first synopsis emphasized "Logan" time setting in the "distant future," the official one reads "in the near future" and "out on the Mexican border." The latest synopsis also has a clearer depiction of the bond between Wolverine and Professor X (played by Patrick Stewart). The "young mutant" refers to Laura (played by Dafne Keen), and seemingly she's the one who finds Wolverine and Professor X instead of the other way around. The movie may stick faithfully to the comics, which set Laura as X-23, a female clone of Wolverine.

Recently, site 1974framesoflogan.com was created to promote "Logan" more. It allows fans to sign up and get free postcards, each containing a single frame of the upcoming and final "Logan" trailer. Due to high demands, all 1974 postcards have been claimed. Jackman and director James Mangold have just shared images of their postcards through their Twitter accounts.

"Logan" is preceded by "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" in 2009 and "The Wolverine" in 2013. Boyd Holbrook, Doris Morgado, Stephen Merchant, Elizabeth Rodriguez and Richard E. Grant are also starring in the movie. The last installment of the Wolverine movie series is set to hit U.S. theaters on March 3.
