Phylicia Rashad Joins Marvel's 'Black Panther'
Movie

Sterling K. Brown accidentally says in an interview that 'The Cosby Show' actress is one of the 'Black Panther' cast members.

AceShowbiz - Phylicia Rashad is actually included in Marvel's "Black Panther". Actor Sterling K. Brown, who will play N'Jobu in the movie, has accidentally revealed Rashad's casting during an interview.

"I just worked with Chad [Chadwick Boseman] on a film called 'Marshall', about Thurgood Marshall. He's such a talented human being and a deep soul," said Brown to The Undefeated. "He's the perfect personality to fully inhabit T'Challa. So, to rejoin him, and to work with Academy Award winners...to be with Michael B. Jordan after the incredible work he's done in 'Creed'. Danai Gurira, Phylicia Rashad, Forest Whitaker-like, it's embarrassing. I'm good at what I do-I don't try to do any sort of false modesty-but, 'Wow! I get to be with all of you people!?!' I think Ryan Coogler is one of the great storytellers that we have working today."

Although Rashad's name was deleted from the article shortly after it was published, her name still exists in the cached version. Rashad's role in "Black Panther" remains secret, though.

Rashad is well known for her portrayal as Clair Hanks Huxtable on sitcom "The Cosby Show", for which she was nominated for Primetime Emmy. She appeared on TV series "Empire" and worked with "Black Panther" director Ryan Coogler in "Creed".

As for "Black Panther", the movie will follow the story of Wakanda's leader T'challa, who is portrayed by Chadwick Boseman. T'challa made his debut in Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2016's "Captain America: Civil War".

"Black Panther" is scheduled to be released on February 16, 2018. Also starring alongside Boseman, Rashad and Brown are Michael B. Jordan, Danai Gurira, Lupita Nyong'o, Angela Bassett and Forest Whitaker.
